Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield is looking to re-establish Jarvis Landry in the passing game amid the receiver's quiet stretch since he returned from injury.

"We'll find ways to get Jarvis involved back in the game plan, there's no doubt about that," Mayfield told reporters Wednesday. "He's a tempo-setter for us, he's an extremely good leader and locker-room guy for us, everybody knows that."

Landry has yet to record a 100-yard game this season and has been held below 40 yards in three of four contests since coming off injured reserve in Week 7.

The slot artist said Tuesday he can't pinpoint the reason for his diminished production or the Browns' collective regression in the passing game. Landry led the team in receiving in each of his first three campaigns in Cleveland with Mayfield as his quarterback.

Mayfield has battled his own decline this season, perhaps in part due to injuries. The former No. 1 overall pick has played through a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder along with a knee and foot ailment. He said Wednesday that "this is probably the most beat up I've ever been in my career."

Nonetheless, he plans to start Sunday against the winless Detroit Lions and expects Landry to be more involved in the offense.

"Like I said," Mayfield told reporters, "we'll get the ball in 80's hands and get going again."
