Nvidia meshugaas

I previously posted about hating the fact that Nvidia is dropping support for my Kepler cards ( and just before the extremely valuable [for wayland use] GBM feature is added). I stated I would buy AMD next time, but it just so happens I didn't. I found a P106M pascal based quadro MXM card for less than $50 delivered on ebay and it was too cheap to resist. It is basically a GTX 1050ti with 25% of cores disable ( so performance in between a GTX1050 & 1050ti) and popped that sucker in my Precision M6800 ( making it non-bootable on Windows - which I don't care about). Much faster than the Fire Pro m6100 it replaced, and swaywm even works , thanks to new GBM feature of nvidia driver. I'm using Slackware64-current.
