The Arizona Cardinals could have their star signal-caller back under center in Week 11.

Kyler Murray said Wednesday he's "pretty close" to returning from an ankle injury that's sidelined him for the past two games, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury added that he's "hopeful" Murray will be back to face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, per ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.

The Cardinals have also been missing receiver DeAndre Hopkins since Week 8 due to a hamstring injury. With Hopkins and Murray inactive, Colt McCoy led Arizona to a win over the San Francisco 49ers before getting blown out by the Carolina Panthers in Week 10.

McCoy suffered a pectoral injury against the Panthers but is expected to be ready to go if Murray doesn't suit up Sunday.

Murray was among the leading MVP candidates before injuring his ankle. The third-year quarterback has racked up 2,276 passing yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions while adding 147 yards and three scores on the ground.
