Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson won't play in Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears due to a non-COVID-19 illness, the team announced.

Tyler Huntley will start against the Bears, while Trace McSorley will act as the backup.

Jackson missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, but he returned for Friday's session and wasn't initially given a health designation. However, the quarterback's status was thrown into doubt after the Ravens downgraded him to questionable Saturday.

Several other Ravens players were affected by a cold that swept through the team's facility last week, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jackson has dealt with illnesses several times this season but hadn't missed a start prior to this week. He sat out a practice in Weeks 3 and 6 after becoming sick.

The 24-year-old missed one game last year after testing positive for COVID-19 and was sidelined during training camp due to a second bout of the virus.

Baltimore will also be without leading receiver Marquise Brown, who's dealing with a thigh injury.
