[SOLVED] Need help understanding how to install amdgpu pro drivers in Mint
by binkyd from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5SBFT)
I have a Lenovo Ideapad 5, which has just completely messed me up with a BIOS upgrade, and now having issues with installing 3rd party stuff. On a new Cinnamon install, it's telling me I don't have video drivers; Driver Manager says I don't need them, but the error message says I'll overwork the CPU without them.
This Page (https://amdgpu.install.readthedocs.i...ll-prereq.html) at AMD has me baffled with what they mean by version; I don't know where to find this info
I can't find instructions on how to actually find and install the stuff that will give me the "amdgpu-install" script. Without this I can't get anywhere.
I'm sure it's right in front of me but I just can't see it. (None of the "similar threads" had an answer)
Can anybody help?
