Recommendation for distro for 2007 Dell XPS 410 Legacy BIOS desktop

Intel Core 2 Duo, 4G memory 2007 Dell XPS 410/Dimension 9200 desktop
My old computer died, and I got this as a temporary replacement. Now I need to install a Linux OS that will work with a Legacy BIOS computer. I can run a 64 bit OS (or a 32 bit one), but I have noticed that the new distros are all UEFI, and BIOS only may be a problem.
I have managed to install Linux 19.3 64 bit and it is running well. The problem is that I don't like it. I did like Xubuntu on my old computer (2009 model), but read that Ubuntu 20 flavors don't work well on old BIOS computers.
Are there any current versions of Linux that work as well on BIOS computers as on UEFI? If not how far back in old versions should I go?
Will any 32 bit OS work well for me, and if so what should I look at?
I was considering Trisquel, but Firefox thought there was a security issue for downloading.
