LiveSlack usb on different machines
by mknix from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5SRK6)
Greetings Slackers,
So I've been using LiveSlack for a month or so now and it's shown me what an awesome distro this is. I had to set it up with iso2usb as this is a UEFI system. That meant that persistence was enabled by default.
My question is, can I just plug this same 16gb flash drive into another laptop and carry on where I left off? The other laptop is a more recent one with newer hardware and with Legacy boot enabled. It actually gives me the choice (whereas this laptop is UEFI only) and I tend to prefer Legacy when presented with such choice.
Or will that throw a spanner in the works and make the usb drive unusable on this UEFI machine?
