change default application for a file in terminal

Hello, i'm trying to open a .pyw file in ubuntu 20.04 but it won't open. Now it's just open with a standard text editior instead of running the code. So I went on the internet and i found that i need to change the "open with" option to python3 and not idle, but python3 is not available on the list of the gui so how can i go in the terminal and change the default app to open .pyw files with?
