Harbaugh plans to start Lamar vs. Packers: 'If he can go, he'll go'
Lamar Jackson's availability for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers remains unconfirmed due to an ankle injury, but Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh plans to have his star quarterback under center in Week 15.
"We're going to see where we're at with the situation," Harbaugh said Monday. "The plans are right now, in my mind, for Lamar to be out there, so we'll see how it goes this week. If he can go, he'll go. If not, Tyler (Huntley) will be the quarterback."
Harbaugh added he doesn't know whether Jackson will practice Wednesday, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.
Jackson sprained his right ankle during a 24-22 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 14. He limped off the field after taking a hit and was carted to the locker room in the second quarter. The former NFL MVP attempted only four passes before exiting.
Huntley replaced Jackson and almost led the Ravens to a late comeback over Cleveland. He finished his relief appearance with 270 yards and one touchdown on 27-for-38 passing. He also added 45 yards on the ground.
Jackson was an MVP candidate through the first half of the season but has struggled to replicate his earlier performances lately. The 24-year-old, who missed one game due to an illness, has tossed only three touchdowns against six interceptions in his last three full appearances.
Huntley made his first career start as Jackson's replacement in Week 11, helping Baltimore edge out the Chicago Bears.
The Ravens are 8-5 this season and sit first in the AFC North.
