Apparmor test?

What is the command to test for proper installation of apparmor? I just tried installing it in Mint 19 for my mum. Using a terminal, sudo apt-get install apparmor, then I removed gist and ruby-json as instructed, in software centre the GUI I don't see too many ticks for apparmor.
