CIFS Mount Stops Working
by mojonix from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5T75G)
Hello Slackers,
I created a directory and was able to properly mount a CIFS share from a Windows 10 PC.
However, when I try to access it sometime later, the computer hangs and eventually gives the error:
/bin/ls: cannot access 'Mount': Host is down
When I create another directory the CIFS mounts again, but the first mount becomes inaccessible.
There is nothing in the /var/log/messages or dmesg log.
