The Detroit Lions placed quarterback Jared Goff and offensive tackle Matt Nelson on the COVID-19 list, the team announced Monday.

Both players' statuses are uncertain ahead of Detroit's matchup next Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

Goff led the Lions to their second win of the 2021 season with a 30-12 rout of the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The two-time Pro Bowler threw for 216 yards and three touchdowns in the victory.

The 27-year-old has passed for 3,007 yards, 17 touchdowns, and eight interceptions with a 67% completion percentage through 13 contests.

If Goff is unavailable in Week 16, the Lions could start Tim Boyle or David Blough in his place. Boyle lined up under center in a 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 11 when an oblique injury sidelined Goff.

Detroit activated running back Jamaal Williams off the COVID-19 list Monday after he missed the team's past two contests.
