Outbreak at Hamilton’s Corktown Pub increases to 11
COVID continues to spread in Hamilton, with more outbreaks reported Tuesday.
An outbreak at the Corktown Pub, associated with a Grey Cup event on Dec. 10, grew from seven to 11 people Tuesday, including one staff member. There are 31 outbreaks across the city, with most at schools.
Dirty Dog Saloon, located at 41 Catharine St. N., has six patrons infected in a new outbreak declared Monday. The date associated with the outbreak is Dec. 11 - the Saturday of Grey Cup weekend. An outbreak at Bellmoore Elementary School was also declared Monday, with two cases in students.
Hamilton has 143 new cases Tuesday, and its seven-day average for new cases climbed to 126.
Announced Tuesday morning, Ontario's chief medical officer of health, Dr. Kieran Moore, is holding his weekly news conference at 3 p.m. today, as opposed to the usual Thursday update.
