Sunday might be Russell Wilson's final game in Seattle, but he's hoping that isn't the case.

The quarterback is the latest Seahawks player to openly consider his future after linebacker Bobby Wagner recently expressed uncertainty over returning next season.

"For me, I know you guys asked Bobby (Wagner) about, 'Could this be last last game?' and this and that, and all that. I know for me, personally, I hope it's not my last game (in Seattle)," Wilson said Thursday, according to Gregg Bell of The News Tribune. "But at the same time, I know it won't be my last game in the NFL."

Wilson is under contract through 2023, but his long-term future in Seattle has been called into question after his name floated in trade rumors last offseason.

The Seahawks have struggled to get any momentum this season due to inconsistent play and injuries, limping to a 5-10 record. A finger injury sidelined Wilson earlier this campaign, and he's compiled just a 2-5 record since returning from the ailment. His 219.9 yards per game is his lowest mark since 2018, while his 18 touchdown passes stray from his usual production.

"It's' been a tough season, man," Wilson said. "You think about Jamal Adams, you lose a guy like that, the other guys we've' lost along the journey to some tough injuries. You think about all the COVID situation, it's challenging. It's been challenging."

Wilson and the Seahawks will close out a disappointing 2021 campaign with a home game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, followed by a road Week 18 matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals.
