Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is likely to miss his second straight game after being listed as doubtful due to a knee injury, head coach Dan Campbell announced Friday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Tim Boyle will likely get the start in Sunday's matchup with the Seattle Seahawks if Goff can't play.

Boyle completed 24 of 34 passes for 187 yards and one touchdown against one interception in last week's 20-16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. His lone turnover came in the red zone with Detroit driving to win the game.

It was the 27-year-old's second start of the campaign after a poor performance in relief of Goff in Week 11; Boyle threw two interceptions and just 77 yards during a 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Boyle is out of contract this offseason and is fighting for the right to be Detroit's No. 2 moving forward.

Goff, 27, has produced an inconsistent first season with the Lions following a blockbuster trade from the Los Angeles Rams, who acquired Matthew Stafford in the move. Goff has thrown for 3,007 yards and 17 touchdowns against eight interceptions in 2021.
