Beamsville man wins $1M on Lotto 6/49
Cory Raymond had $1 million just lying around in his car and he didn't even know it.
At least until he got around to checking the Lotto 6/49 draw from Dec. 4.
I went to purchase a ticket for the next draw and checked this ticket that has been in my car for weeks," he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. I was in disbelief when I saw the number of zeroes."
The 45-year-old father of three said he's going to use the prize to pay some bills and save up for his children's education.
When he told his family about the win he said they didn't believe him at first, but screamed with joy when they realized it was real.
I had to show them the validation slip," he said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Pioneer Snack Express on Greenlane Road in Beamsville.
