Wintry weather combined with the pandemic to frustrate US air travelers in the first days of the new year, contributing to a continuing flightmare" of cancelations, confusion and airport chaos, all amid worries about the Omicron Covid surge.
On Monday, as a major winter storm hit mid-Atlantic states, more than half of flights were delayed or canceled at Ronald Reagan national airport, Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall international airport and Washington Dulles international airport, according to FlightAware.com's misery map.
