The Carolina Panthers will look to interview former NFL head coaches Jay Gruden and Bill O'Brien in their search for a new offensive coordinator, sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Carolina will also reportedly target Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell.

The Panthers are apparently expected to keep head coach Matt Rhule despite a disappointing first two seasons at the helm.

Rhule dismissed offensive coordinator Joe Brady on Dec. 5, replacing him with offensive assistant Jeff Nixon for the campaign's final five contests.

Gruden was the Washington Football Team's head coach from 2014-19. He spent one season as the Jacksonville Jaguars' offensive coordinator in 2020.

O'Brien is currently the offensive coordinator at Alabama, which takes on Georgia in the national championship game Monday. The 52-year-old was head coach of the Houston Texans from 2014-20.
