Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott revealed he was playing through a partially torn PCL in his knee following his team's wild-card loss to the San Francisco 49ers, according to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News.

Elliott added he won't need to undergo surgery in the offseason.

Despite his injury, Elliott carried the ball 12 times for 31 yards against San Francisco. Tony Pollard, meanwhile, had four carries for 14 yards.

Dallas lost in dramatic fashion Sunday.

With the Cowboys driving for a potential game-winning touchdown in the dying seconds of the game, Dak Prescott took off for a 17-yard run. But the quarterback was unable to get the snap off for a chance at a Hail Mary after colliding with an official as time expired.

"Shit, it hurts. All of us are hurting," said Elliott.

It's unclear how long Elliott was dealing with a knee issue, but the veteran didn't appear to be himself for much of the campaign. He rushed for over 70 yards in just one of Dallas' last 12 regular-season games.
