Hamilton police seize sawed-off rifle and brass knuckles after downtown disturbance
A 34-year-old Hamilton man faces multiple gun charges following a disturbance at Wilson and Ferguson streets late Sunday.
Hamilton police were called to the area just before midnight on Jan. 16 for an incident in which a gun had been brandished.
Police, including the K9 unit, responded and arrested the 34-year-old.
Police said they seized a sawed-off, .22 calibre rifle and brass knuckles.
The 34-year-old is charged with pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon (the brass knuckles), possession of a prohibited firearm, six counts of possession contrary to an order, two counts of breach of a conditional sentence and six counts of fail to comply with probation.
