Report: Burrow won't need surgery after injuring knee in Super Bowl
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow won't require surgery on a knee injury suffered in Sunday's Super Bowl loss to the Los Angeles Rams, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Burrow will rehab the sprain, which shouldn't seriously affect his offseason, Rapoport adds.
The Bengals quarterback was sacked seven times in Sunday's 23-20 loss and was under constant pressure from the Rams' defense. Burrow favored his knee following a fourth-quarter sack and managed to stay in the game.
He was on the receiving end of 19 sacks during the Bengals' playoff run, setting a new NFL postseason record. Burrow was also taken down a league-leading 51 times in the regular season.
The 25-year-old tore his ACL and MCL during his rookie campaign in 2020. He returned in 2021 to lead the Bengals to their first division title since 2015 and first Super Bowl appearance in 33 years.
