Price: $2,799,999
Neighbourhood: Stoney Creek
Features: Located just steps away from Lake Ontario, this custom-built, fully detached home is one of about a dozen properties located north of North Service Road that are listed for over $1 million.
It's been on the market for more than a week.
With its $2.79-million price tag, the home would be ideal for an executive type" who recently sold their home and can afford a good down payment," said Rick Sharma, a broker at Royal LePage State Realty in Stoney Creek.
It's a beautiful home," said Sharma, who noted that the seller, who is also the builder of the home, only opted to sell due to the market.
The main floor of the home features a large kitchen with an island built for entertaining, a double fridge, a gas stove as well as a pot filler faucet and walk-in pantry. There is also a den at the front of the house.
Upstairs, there are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, one of them featuring a double sink. The primary bedroom has a walk-in closet as well as a spa-style" bathroom that has a separate shower and tub. There are also hardwood floors throughout the home.
It's got a lot of quality," said Sharma. There is also a beautiful view of the lake from the second floor."
Sharma said the unfinished basement could be remodelled as a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, with separate entrances in the garage as well as to the backyard, which is partially fenced.
Why is it priced this way? Sharma said the home was priced with similar nearby properties - which are older and often listed for more than $3 million - in mind. A home on Watercrest Drive is currently listed for $3.6 million.
Unlike the Dewitt Road home, those properties backed onto the lake, increasing their value. With that in mind, they went lower, he added.
I think it's a really good price," said Sharma, noting the sellers were not looking for a bidding war with the home. We're expecting someone that is serious about buying this house."
