Report: Rams, Miller have mutual interest in 2022 reunion
The Los Angeles Rams would like to keep their Super Bowl-winning roster as intact as possible next season.
L.A. and pass-rusher Von Miller are mutually interested in a reunion in 2022, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Rams acquired Miller from the Denver Broncos in exchange for second- and third-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. The 32-year-old tallied 31 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and five sacks in eight regular-season games. He added six tackles for loss and four sacks in the postseason.
Miller spent nearly 10 seasons with the Broncos. The eight-time Pro Bowler led Denver in sacks in six consecutive seasons from 2014-19. He signed a six-year, $114.1-million contract in 2016.
The three-time All-Pro is open to re-signing with the Rams but has noted that he plans to explore the market.
Re-signing Miller could be complicated for the reigning champions, with Odell Beckham Jr. set to become a free agent and the team likely entering negotiations with Aaron Donald.
The Rams are currently $20 million over the projected salary cap for 2022, according Over the Cap.
