Titans release Saffold after 3 seasons
The Tennessee Titans cut Pro Bowl guard Rodger Saffold after three seasons, the team announced Thursday.
Saffold's release will free up $10.5 million in cap space, according to Spotrac.
The Titans have been busy cleansing their offensive line, also cutting Kendall Lamm and Darrynton Evans earlier Thursday. The moves project to clear $13.7 million in cap room, per Spotrac.
Saffold was set to enter the final season of his four-year, $44-million contract. He joined the Titans in 2019 after spending the first nine years of his career with the Los Angeles Rams.
The 33-year-old started 15 games with Tennessee in 2021 and earned his first Pro Bowl invite.
