Report: Chiefs, Saints have most interest in Landry after release from Browns
The Cleveland Browns released wide receiver Jarvis Landry, the team announced Monday.
The Browns reportedly gave Landry permission to seek a trade after acquiring Amari Cooper from the Dallas Cowboys.
The Kansas City Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints have expressed the most interest in the veteran wideout as a free agent, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Previous reports also indicated that the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers were among those who could be in the mix.
Landry was entering the final season of a five-year, $75-million deal. Cleveland will save $14.88 million in cap space by cutting the veteran, per Over The Cap.
The 30-year-old missed five games last season. He also produced career lows in catches (52), yards (570), and touchdowns (two). Landry led Cleveland in receiving yards in each of the prior three campaigns, making two Pro Bowl appearances.
