The New York Giants are open to trading their fifth or seventh overall selections in the upcoming draft for a package that includes a 2023 first-rounder, league sources told SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.

The NFC East club could be looking for some financial relief as it's just $1.4 million under the salary cap, according to Over the Cap. The Giants have nine total picks in the 2022 draft, which will cost roughly $12.5 million in cap space, Vacchiano reports.

New York has to decide by May 2 - two days after the draft - whether it'll pick up Daniel Jones' fifth-year option that would see the quarterback earn about $22.3 million in 2023, per Spotrac.

Cornerback James Bradberry's future also remains uncertain as he's set to carry a $21.8-million cap hit next campaign. The Giants would prefer to trade the veteran this offseason and are willing to eat some of his $13.5-million salary to get a deal done, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

The 2022 NFL Draft is set to take place from April 28-30.
