NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hei returns to Earth in Russian space capsule

Mark Vande Hei on board the ISS | Image: NASA Update March 30th, 8AM ET: The Soyuz carrying Mark Vande Hei, Anton Shkaplerov, and Pyotr Dubrov touched down successfully in Kazakhstan at 7:28AM ET. Though wind in the area caused the Soyuz to tip over on its side after landing, all three crew members were extracted from the vehicle safely. After traveling to Karaganda by helicopter, Vande Hei will board a NASA jet to take him back to Houston, Texas.
