Nothing about Lent says Friday dinner shouldn't delight. Check out these Hamilton restaurants open and ready to serve up everything from gluten free at Hammerheads to your favourite seafood at world renowned Shakespeare's.

  • Hammerhead's, on Ottawa Street is 100 per cent gluten free and they're on for the big show Friday. Order online for pick up, everything from oysters, calamari to your traditional fish and chips. Hours are 12 to 8 p.m. Closed on Sunday and Monday. Don't forget the house-made tartar sauce. hammerheadsonottawa.com

  • The Ship, 23 Augusta St. Sit down or take out, you can order up a little Erie Southern Fried Catfish and Chips or some Erie Perch and Chips for around $18. Hours are 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Don't forget a splash of Clam Strips to start you off. theship.ca

  • Shakespeare's, 181 Main St. E. Add a little grace and beauty with some fine seafood dining this Friday. The dining room is open and there's no better ambience. Open for lunch on Fridays from 12 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. shakespeares.ca

  • Did you say Sushi on Fennell? Don't wait, they sell out early on a regular Friday. Order a tray or single serving of Classic Maki. A medium party tray holds 64 pieces and will run you around $70.
