Walmart’s scheduled PlayStation 5 restock is happening now (Update: sold out)

Fingers crossed for a summer rich in PS5 console availability. | Illustration by Alex Castro / The Verge Update June 2nd, 4:02PM ET: Walmart has sold out of both PlayStation 5 consoles and bundles for today's restock.
We're still seeing short or no supply of PlayStation 5 consoles at many retailers and going weeks between new nationwide restocks. Hopefully, this summer will prove more fruitful, especially now that retailers like Amazon are taking invite requests to buy a PS5. As for a more imminent restock, Walmart has a scheduled one that's happening now.
If you're a Walmart Plus subscriber, you can queue up right now for the standard $499 disc drive-equipped PS5, the $399 PS5 Digital Edition, and the new $549 PS5 bundle containing Horizon Forbidden West - as well as a similar bundle with the PS5 Digital Edition for $449.
