Charges against Broncos' Jeudy dismissed

The Arapahoe County District Attorney's office filed a motion to dismiss all charges against Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy ahead of his hearing Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The motion was then officially signed off by a judge, closing the case, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

"After reviewing the evidence, I always believed that no crime had been committed and all charges would be dismissed," said Jeudy's attorney, Harvey Steinberg.

Jeudy was arrested May 12 on charges of second-degree criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer after the mother of his child called police and said he'd locked her wallet and the child's medical paperwork in his car. According to the police report, Jeudy acknowledged he'd locked baby formula and other items in his car because the woman had taken one of his phones and wouldn't return it. Sheriff Tyler Brown said after the incident that there was no physical contact between Jeudy and the woman.

The 23-year-old Jeudy was released on bond the next day. The woman involved in the case said she didn't feel threatened during the incident and later asked for the charges to be dropped.

Jeudy, the 15th overall pick in 2020, is entering his third season with Denver.
