Commanders' Young: ACL rehab 'going as planned'
Washington Commanders star pass-rusher Chase Young is right on schedule with his rehab from last season's ACL tear.
"I'm running. I've squatted some substantial amount of weight," Young said Wednesday. "But everything is going as planned. I'm happy where I'm at, and I'm confident in everything I'm doing going forward."
Young is in attendance for the team's OTAs but isn't participating in any 11-on-11 drills.
"It feels good to be back, getting around the guys, watching them run around, trying to give them all the energy I can give them," Young added.

The former 2020 second overall pick is eager to be back in action but did not specify when he expects to return.
"I want to be back as fast as I can but won't put a timetable on it," Young said, according to JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington. "I'm getting better fast."
Young, who has been an integral part of Washington's pass rush, posted 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles last year before suffering the season-ending knee injury in Week 10.
