Man pulled from Lake Ontario in Oakville pronounced dead at hospital, Halton police confirm

A man who was found floating in Lake Ontario in Bronte Harbour has died.
Halton Regional Police confirmed the man was pronounced dead at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital after being pulled from Lake Ontario Wednesday afternoon (June 1).
Police officers, Halton Region Paramedics and Oakville firefighters responded around 2:40 p.m. to Bronte Harbour, with the initial 911 call reporting a body floating in the water.
Marine Unit officers went into the water and the man was pulled out before being rushed to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital without vital signs, fire officials said.
Halton police have yet to release the man's age or cause of death.
