Hamilton police investigate downtown shooting
Hamilton police are investigating a Friday night shooting downtown.
Police said they responded to a shooting in the area of Gibson Avenue and Wilson Street at approximately 11:40 p.m. on June 3.
No injuries were reported, police said.
Investigators are asking area residents to check security camera footage between 11:15 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. for signs of suspicious activity," police said in a release. They are also asking drivers who were in the area Friday night to check dash camera footage.

Earlier in the day, police also responded to another shooting in which no one was injured.
In that incident, a man was walking his dog in a residential neighbourhood in Stoney Creek when two people jumped out of a car and shot at him, firing several bullets, police said.
The dog walker ran into a nearby residence.
