Burlington man faces child pornography charges; investigation began in Guelph
A Burlington man faces child pornography charges related to an investigation that began in Guelph late last year.
In December, the Guelph Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit began an investigation after receiving a tip about someone uploading materials to a social media platform, says a Guelph police news release.
A search warrant was executed at an address in the area of College Avenue West and Janefield Avenue and several devices were seized. As a result of the ongoing investigation a man turned himself in to police this week, says the June 2 release.
A 26-year-old Burlington male is charged with possessing child pornography, accessing child pornography and distributing child pornography. He is to appear in a Guelph court July 15.
