Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar will take more time to determine who will start in goal for his club in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

"It's a tough decision," Bednar said Thursday, per NHL.com's Ryan Boulding. "There'll be conversations about it. We'll make a decision and go from there."

Usual No. 1 netminder Darcy Kuemper suffered an injury in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final and didn't play for the rest of the series as Colorado cruised to a four-game sweep. He dressed as the backup for the series finale and said he's fully recovered from the upper-body injury that sidelined him.

Pavel Francouz filled in admirably in Kuemper's absence, posting a .908 save percentage with one shutout in four games against the Edmonton Oilers.

Kuemper has a .897 save percentage and 2.65 goals-against average in 10 playoff games this spring.

The Avalanche await the winner of the Eastern Conference Final between the New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning.
