Possible shooting threat found at Westdale high school
Hamilton police are investigating another possible threat found in a school vicinity Tuesday.
A possible threat, referring to shooting, was found on a bathroom wall at Westdale Secondary School.
The police were notified immediately, principal Josh Connor wrote in an email to parents.
At least 15 schools have been threatened with similar acts of violence in the past weeks, including four elementary schools.
We take incidents like these very seriously," Connor said, adding the administration is working with the school community to ensure students understand the impact threats have on individuals and the overall school climate."
The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board is also investigating the incident.
This trend has been ongoing since the fatal shooting in an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, that claimed the lives of 19 students and two teachers on May 24.
