Updated: Teenager seriously injured after being struck by vehicle

A teenage boy was taken to hospital Friday night after being struck by a pickup truck in central Hamilton.
Emergency crews responded to Wentworth Street North, between Cannon and Bristol streets, around 8:30 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian-involved collision.
Dave Thompson of the Hamilton Paramedic Service said a boy aged 15 or 16 suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. He is in stable condition.
Police briefly closed Wentworth from Bristol to Cannon. They continued probing the collision as of Saturday morning.
