Canada needs 5.8 million new homes by 2030 to tackle affordability crisis, CMHC warns

A new report from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation says the country's housing stock would need to climb to over 22 million units by 2030 to achieve affordability for everyone living in Canada. That means 3.5 million more units than currently projected need to be built across the country.
