Police arrest man with handgun following ‘threatening incident’ outside McDonald’s

A 27-year-old man was charged with possession of firearm on Friday following an incident outside an east Hamilton McDonald's restaurant.
Officers responded to 1268 King St. E. for a threatening incident" at 5:30 p.m., Hamilton police said in a media release.
Police said they found a man at the Gage Park-area McDonald's with a handgun.
It was an argument outside the restaurant, and someone overheard a male ... saying that he had a gun," said Staff Sgt. Peter Ranieri.
