Hello, and Happy Thursday,

On the final day of what may have been its most consequential term ever, the US supreme court announced it would hear a bombshell case when it reconvenes.

The justice department announced it is suing Arizona over a new law that requires voters to prove their citizenship if they want to vote in federal elections.

The supreme court's new conservative supermajority flexed its new power relentlessly this term. The justices are likely just getting started.
