Woman dies in Niagara-on-the-Lake rollover

Police are investigating after a woman was killed in a Niagara-on-the-Lake collision.

At about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Niagara Regional Police, with fire and paramedic services, responded to a report of a single vehicle that had rolled over in the area of York Road between Concession 1 and Concession 2 roads.

Police said a woman was pronounced dead at the scene while an adult male was extricated from the vehicle by members of Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire and Emergency Services Department.

The man was taken to a local hospital, where, police said, he was in serious condition.

Police are not releasing the identities of the people involved in the collision at this time.

Detectives from the collision reconstruction unit are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision or may have closed-circuit television or dash-cam footage to come forward with any information. Call 905-688-4111, option 3, badge 1009170, with any relevant information.
