BRIEFS: N'Stars complete OWFL regular season, headed to provincials

U15 NORTH STARS WIN TWO
After a break in the schedule last weekend for Canada Day, the Owen Sound Krueger Custom Steel North Stars under-15 (1) girls field lacrosse team was back at it in Kawartha Saturday. The N'Stars ended their regular season with a pair of wins. The first game finished with a score of 14-2 over Burlington. Owen Sound's goals were scored by Bree Wilkins (7), Ryann Seaman (3), Taryn Weppler (2) and Charlotte Fox (2). Owen Sound then faced Oakville for its second match. The N'Stars fought hard the entire game and never let up, with tough defence, quick passes, fast rushes and aggressive stick checks, the team came out with the 9-8 win. Goals were scored by Ryann Seaman (5), Bree Wilkins (2) and singles by Katie Marshall and Camryn Stauffer. A strong showing in net for both games by Mykah Harris. The North Stars are now off to Ontario Women's Field Lacrosse (OWFL) provincials Saturday in Oshawa. Read More
