Maple Leafs sign Aube-Kubel to 1-year, $1M deal

The Toronto Maple Leafs agreed to a one-year, $1-million contract with forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel.
Aube-Kubel primarily served a bottom-six role for the Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche this past season. The 26-year-old matched a career high with 11 goals to go along with 11 assists over 67 games in 2021-22.
Colorado claimed him off waivers from the Philadelphia Flyers in November. Aube-Kubel played his first three seasons and the first seven games of his fourth campaign with the Flyers, who drafted him 48th overall in 2014.
