Police say accused in manslaughter case breached bail conditions
Hamilton police are asking the public for help finding one of the accused in the 2020 shooting death of 17-year-old Myah Larmond at a house party.
Police say Devante Skye-Davis is now facing charges of failing to comply with his release order, in addition to the manslaughter charge related to Larmond's death.
Police believe Skye-Davis is still in Hamilton.
He is one of two people charged with manslaughter in the shooting that police have previously described as being caused by recklessness." At the time of the shooting, police alleged Skye-Davis fired the gun during a house party at the semi-detached home he rented in central Hamilton. It wasn't an out-of-control party, but drugs and alcohol were involved, Hamilton police alleged.
Last August, Cadence Beauparlant, 20, of Hamilton was charged with manslaughter and unauthorized possession of a loaded firearm in relation to the shooting.
Skye-Davis is described by police as 23 years old, with brown eyes and facial hair, standing five-foot-nine and weighing 150 pounds. They said he has two-toned hair and a tattoo on left side of the neck.
Police ask the public to call 911 or 905-546-4925 if you see Skye-Davis or know of his whereabouts.
