Man, 71, with early onset dementia missing in east Hamilton: police

A 71-year old Hamilton man who lives with early onset dementia went missing Friday night and police are asking the public for help finding him.

Roger Bissonnette is an avid walker, and known to stroll around his neighbourhood, but has not been seen since about 9 p.m., July 22, when he headed on foot westbound from his home on Armstrong Avenue in the east end, just west of the Red Hill Valley Parkway.

In a news release, police said family is worried about his safety, and that he is non verbal."

Police are asking residents in the area to check their yards and properties.

The physical description provided for Bissonnette includes: 5'7, 140 lbs, slim build, short silver and black hair, wearing a baseball cap and black golf shirt, with black track pants, black Skechers shoes.

Residents should call 9-1-1 if they spot Bissonette, and police ask if anyone has information that might help in the investigation to call 905-546-2963.
