Breaking: the Washington Nationals traded All-Star slugger Juan Soto to the San Diego Padres in exchange for LHP Mackenzie Gore, OF Robert Hassell III, SS C.J. Abrams, OF James Wood, RHP Jarlin Susana and another major-league player (believed to be Eric Hosmer pending his no-trade clause to Washington). The Padres will also receive Josh Bell in the deal.
