Bruins bring back Bergeron on 1-year deal worth up to $5M
The Boston Bruins signed center Patrice Bergeron to a one-year, $2.5-million contract with an additional $2.5 million in performance-based incentives, the team announced Monday.

Bergeron returns for his 19th season in the NHL, which have all come with the Bruins.
The 37-year-old captain won the Selke Trophy for a record fifth time last season.
Bergeron recorded 25 goals and 40 assists over 73 games during the 2021-22 campaign. He owns 982 career points in 1,216 regular-season contests with the Bruins. The veteran forward also won a Stanley Cup with Boston in 2011.
