Hamilton Police looking for sexual assault suspect
Hamilton Police are asking the public for assistance locating a suspect in a Dundas sexual assault.
Police said a 20-year-old woman was sexually assaulted near Old Guelph Road and Homestead Avenue on Monday, Aug. 8.
An area resident said police were in the neighbourhood Monday afternoon looking for the victim's cellphone and purse.
Police did not respond to requests for comment on Monday - but sent out a press release at 5:42 p.m. Tuesday evening.
According to the release, police are looking for 53-year-old David John Baldwin. The release states not to approach Baldwin if he is seen, but to call 911.
If you have any information that you believe could assist police with the investigation into this crime or the whereabouts of David John Baldwin, you are asked to contact Detective Phil Hedgcock at 905-540-5544," the police press release states.
