Cyclists struck by vehicles in Hamilton

Paramedics confirmed two collisions Wednesday evening in Hamilton involving cyclists.
Around 6:30 p.m., a male believed to be in his 50s was struck by a vehicle at Maplewood Avenue and Balsam Avenue South. The victim was on his e-bike. According to the paramedics, the victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
Less than an hour later, another cyclist was struck by a pickup truck at Barton Street East and Barnesdale Avenue North. The male patient in his 30s was transported to a local trauma centre in serious but stable condition.
