The New York Jets are signing free-agent offensive tackle Duane Brown to a two-year, $22-million deal, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

New York sought reinforcements along the offensive line following Mekhi Becton's potentially season-ending knee injury suffered earlier this week.

Brown, who will turn 37 at the end of the month, initially visited the Jets during their green and white scrimmage at MetLife Stadium on Saturday.

The 2012 All-Pro started all 17 games last season with the Seattle Seahawks and earned his fifth career Pro Bowl nod. He started all 70 contests during his five years with the franchise.

Brown began his career with the Houston Texans who drafted him in the first round in 2008. He started in all 133 games with the Texans over 10 years before his trade to Seattle in October 2017.

Brown could be an option for the Jets at left tackle, which would allow George Fant to move to right tackle, where he played in 2020.
